How Our Community Is Showing Up for Students

There is a reality our community cannot ignore: 1 in 4 college students face food insecurity.

At Florence-Darlington Technical College, students attend classes across six campuses—with no cafeterias—often making daily decisions between food, transportation, and education.

But what we see across our region is something more powerful.  We’re seeing a community step forward.

What It Looks Like When a Community Shows Up

The 2026 Feed Hope Drive is underway.  Across our region, organizations and individuals are taking action:

  • Collection boxes are being placed
  • Donations are being organized
  • Teams are engaging employees and customers

This is not about obligation.  It’s about shared belief.

Participation Is Simple—and Meaningful

This effort is intentionally simple—because meaningful action should be accessible.

You can:

  • 💳 Make a monthly donation
  • 📦 Host a collection box
  • 🛒 Place a Walmart order
  • 📍 Ship needed items
  • 🤝 Partner in a way that fits your organization

Every action removes a barrier.  Every contribution creates opportunity.  Join Feed Hope 2026
