Truck Broker Selects Heritage Digital for Business Tracking Extranet

(Florence, SC) Heritage Digital announced the deployment of a business application based on the ontrak™ library for R&M Logistics headquartered in Florence, SC. R&M Logistics (RML) provides point-to-point freight logistics by matching trucking companies, Shippers and independent truckers with freight requirements from a variety of clients.

With offices in South Carolina and Florida, RML needed a way to track loads and business activity on a realtime basis. In addition, the Company needed to manage and access government-mandated documents for each load and make the documents easily available for review and distribution. Further, available loads, not matched to a transport, needed to be available to the general trucking public to assist in moving the freight in the most efficient manner. To complicate matters, commissions for individual brokers had to be tracked and reconciled daily.

Heritage Digital provided a solution with LoadTRAK based on the ontrak modular library. Running completely within a standard web browser, LoadTRAK allows all offices to book, post, manage loads and documentation with the use of a secure Extranet. The system also had to manage Accounts Payable and Receivables as well as commissions. All loads not matched are automatically posted to the company's corporate web site for possible matching. Reconciliation tasks that previously required many manhours were completed in a matter of minutes with the ontrak system.

It is estimated that Return on Investment for LoadTRAK will be 2-3 months.
