Title: Lockheed Martin Contracts with Florence Firm

(Florence, SC) Heritage Digital, announces the completion of work under a Lockheed Martin Aerospace (LMCO) contract to provide a computerized robotic handling and digitizing system for LMCO's Javelin Program.

The company designed and implemented a robotic test system for the Javelin. The system automates the previously manual test procedure. Working from a touch screen, the user controls all functions of the testing remotely. After the testing is complete, the Test Report is automatically generated. The system integrates robotics, digital imaging and computer database technologies.

Savings to LMCO are realized in increased productivity, decreased training and consistent test results.

According to Roger W. Austin, General Manager for SATIS, "The system significantly decreases the test time for the product while decreasing the level of expertise needed to perform the testing. Overall savings resulted in a payback measured in just a few months."
